New Look Duplicate Certificate of Title

Landgate has commenced issuing Duplicate Certificates of Title on paper with security features that take advantage of the latest security technology.

The new paper is light blue and has new security features that include:

Trust Seal 

The trust seal is a three dimensional image that has replaced the hologram.  By tilting the paper left to right the word in the trust seal will alternate between Certificate of Title and Australia.

Eagle Watermark

As with the previous paper stock, a series of eagles can be seen across the full length of the paper when you hold it up to the light.

Thermochromic Icon

A gold eight point star is located in the bottom right hand corner replacing the former thermochromic icon.  If you gently rub the gold star it will momentarily disappear then reappear.

Certificate of Title Wording

On the reverse of the paper the words ‘certificate of title’ are printed vertically in white on the left and right sides.  While this feature was on the former paper, it is written in a different lower case script.

Control Number

The control number has moved across the page and has been printed in a smaller font size.

Warning Band

On the reverse of the paper, the warning band continues to describe the operation of the thermochromic icon.  The warning band itself is smaller and the font is lighter than the previous paper.
