SECURING YOUR INFORMATION

Through the course of your settlement, we as your conveyancer, will collect certain  information pertaining to your property transaction, such as your personal details and identity and in some instances your bank account details.

During the period of your settlement, that is from the time your sign your Offer and Acceptance to settlement date, and sometimes beyond, your file and all details are securely kept within our office environment.

However, once settlement has taken place and the file is closed, it is our duty as set down in the Settlement Agents Code of Conduct that we keep your information for a minimum of 6 years.
So that your information is securely stored, we use TIMG (The Information Management Group), who are an accredited security storage facility.

There is a one off payment of $40, for this service. This ensures you have peace of mind that your personal information gathered during the process of settlement, is safely and securely stored.
